A new Montessori preschool at Taman Tun Dr Ismail

The community at Taman Tun Dr Ismail has always been dear to The children’s house. The first TTDI centre opened its doors in 2009 with the support and trust of the community. We’ve spent the last 9 years building a strong bond with our preschoolers and their guardians, as we prepare our children for primary school and for life with this preschool at TTDI 2.

As such, The children’s house has now opened our second centre in this lovely neighbourhood. Situated on Pinggiran Zaaba, this preschool at TTDI 2 is set to win hearts just like its predecessor with its iconic red and white schoolhouse.

Within this double-storey landed property, we will be following the tradition of The children’s house’s of creating a learning haven that is child-centric, and meticulously designed to optimise the learning opportunities for children aged between 8 months and 4 years.

With an abundance of natural light, the school is infused with vibrant energy, empowering our children to be engaged in purposeful activities in a non-competitive and harmonious atmosphere. The children’s house TTDI 2 is poised to be a homely and safe environment that will encourage and motivate young minds and hearts in realising their fullest potential.

Each programme in the Montessori Method focuses on preparing the child for the next level. The low teacher/child ratio ensures ensures optimal learning. At the core of every activity is respect; respect for the teacher, respect for each other and respect for the materials.

A PRESCHOOL AT TTDI FOR HOLISTIC LEARNING

The warm, friendly and secure environment of this preschool at TTDI 2 encourages children from different cultures and background to discover their full potential and develop a love for learning.

The good news is that it’s not only a preschool but also a great childcare centre for your toddler. The cosy and enriching environment of the preschool keeps your little one engaged while you are at work. Having childcare that you can trust makes a big difference in the life of the parent as well as the toddler. The close-knit community at Taman Tun ensures that your child becomes a part of the preschool family while learning to build relationships and develop social skills.

Toddlers are active, inquisitive and curious in nature. And, to capture their innate abilities, we communicate and interact through storytelling, rhyming, singing, and listening games at the preschool. Their desire to imitate results in the absorption of new sounds and words which soon expands to form sentences.

Trust is built as toddlers participate in routine activities along with their friends, like putting away their little toys having meals together in the preschool. Practical skills activities like spooning transferring and pouring help to develop gross motor skills and improves concentration.

Engaging in repetitive activities until they succeed leads to a sense of happiness and accomplishment and creates a motivated toddler.

The activities at the preparatory level are structured in a way that helps develop the cognitive skills of the child and prepares them for the formal schooling years. We lay emphasis on grace and courtesy where children learn to respect each other, practice manners, and resolve conflicts.

The activities at our preschool in TTDI 2 opportunity to the children to discover their interest, explore, learn and excel, thereby developing confidence, self-esteem and independence.

What Parents Say

  • “Ryan loves The children’s house. He has developed into this fearless, sweet, polite, warm and gentle boy, all thanks to the good education and love from his aunties and friends.”

    Mr and Mrs Dalton
    Parents of Ryan
  • “When my daughter, at two and a half turned to me to utter her first sentence in English, then she spoke French to her father and to my mother’s helper in Malay, I understood why Dr. Maria Montessori described the child’s mind as magical!”

    Mr and Mrs Civel
    Parents of Fleur Civel
  • “We will never forget the day we brought Chloe to your school for a visit. We asked her if she liked the school in all its bright red and white tones and she said yes without hesitation. She refused to leave when it was time to go after being given some time to play with the other children.”

    Mr and Mrs Chan
    Parents of Chloe Chan
  • “My involvement with The children’s house began 28 years ago when I was looking for a preschool for my daughter. I searched high and low for the one that fulfilled my checklist – quality education, a clean environment and dedicated, friendly staff. I visited 8 preschools, but none matched my expectations. Finally, I stumbled upon a quaint, red and white preschool along Jalan Ampang called The children’s house, which was also recommended by a friend. It was one of the best accidental finds of my life.”

    Mr and Mrs Aris
Parents of Reena, Alang and Riya
  • We would like to commend Aunties Zandra and Sabrina in particular for consistently delivering high quality sessions that engage the children – the effort in lesson preparation, setting up special interesting filters, making finger puppets etc., are noticed and appreciated. We appreciate all the hard work being put in to make the best of the situation. Please keep it up and we wish all of you best of luck as we navigate the new challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
