The nursery environment is in an attractive setting with a warm, friendly and secure atmosphere where children from all walks of life and faith are encouraged to realise their full potential and to develop an enthusiasm for learning.
As their expressive language expands and their coordination improves, pre-schoolers need close guidance in positive communication and behaviour. Use of polite language and courteous behaviour are focus areas in daily lessons – these are essential in helping the child better manage their emotions, effectively communicate and socialise.
Pre-schoolers are imaginative and their illustrations are colourful and detailed. Through our guided writing programme, the children learn more about penmanship and vocabulary. As the year progresses, they are encouraged to discuss stories, enjoy reading and our teachers also introduce phonics programmes for better pronounciation. In Number Work, the children practice with creative mathematical equipment that progresses in difficulty, enabling them to better absorb abstract concepts such as geometry and sequencing.
Core curriculum
Each programme builds on the one before it, providing challenges appropriate to both age and skill levels. Language, mathematics, spatial learning, self-discovery, music, and art are all incorporated into our approach, making our curriculum one of the best amongst the Montessori Nursery in Malaysia.
In the Montessori nursery environment the Montessori classroom is a “living room” for children. Children choose their activities from open shelves with self-correcting materials and work in distinct work areas – on tables, on rugs or on the floor. The curriculum focuses on 5 domains which enhance the development of task organization and cognitive order through care of self, care of the environment, exercises of grace and courtesy, and refinement of physical movement and coordination.

There is a great emphasis on Grace and Courtesy. Children practise good manners, respect for each other, able to resolve conflicts and express themselves positively. Their time here also prepares them to be ready for the elementary environment, allowing for a seamless transition from one level to the next.
Lessons are given on individual basis or in small groups. This enables the teacher to discover more about each individual child and their inner development. Children develop best in a caring environment where they are allowed to express themselves, learn from their experiences, and integrate those developments of learning into their world.
The mixed age group environment creates an atmosphere where children learn to help and be helped by other children, because they interact consistently with children whose age and abilities are varied. Children gain an appreciation for their achievement and the accomplishments of others, and are naturally challenged by the achievements of others.
Core curriculum
The curriculum for our preparatory classes has been structured to foster development of lifetime cognitive skills and to prepare children for formal schooling. We encourage our children to become accomplished readers and writers, skilled in mathematics, creative thinking and problem solving. We provide opportunities for children to question and express their curiosity, which results in developing confidence, independence, and high self-esteem as well as exploration of individual interests.
