The children’s house flagship branch opened its doors in June 2016. Situated in the heart of the unique township of Mont Kiara, our spacious 33,000sq.ft. campus is dedicated to providing young children with dynamic and state of the art learning spaces, specially designed to encourage stimulation and refinement of the five senses.
The indoor environment in the preschool is spacious, well-lit and neatly arranged with Montessori learning materials and apparatus. The outdoor play area has creative playsets and other playground equipment which keep the children engaged as they enjoy the adventure and fun with their friends.
The programmes at The children’s house Mont Kiara include Montessori Junior for Nursery and Preparatory (3 to 6 years old). The daycare at the preschool (preschool in Mont Kiara) has a safe, loving and secure environment for the children. The operational hours of the preschool from 8am to 6pm provides a lot of flexibility to the parents who need to tweak their schedule.
The full-day programme is also a great benefit to working parents who have a childcare they can completely trust. Situated in Mont Kiara, this preschool is a big hit with expatriate parents who want a childcare centre close to where they live. In the Montessori method of teaching, children are given the freedom to select the material they want to work with. The uninterrupted work periods in the preschool ensure that the choice of the child is respected, creating a positive learning environment. Since children are given an extended period of activity without interruption, they learn to discover their interest and progress naturally. With more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education and success stories of children all across Malaysia, The children’s house has gained trust and recognition of both Malaysian and expatriate parents.
From humble beginnings in a quiet and leafy part of Damansara heights to preschools at thirteen locations in Klang Valley, The children’s house continues to adhere to the didactic materials were developed by Dr Montessori through years of extensive research culminating in a scientific pedagogy supported by carefully designed teaching materials.
The materials in this preschool in Mont Kiara include sensory play materials that are multi-sensory, sequential and self-correcting in nature. These materials are vital to refining the (auditory, tactile, visual, stereognostic, gustatory, chromatic and the sense of temperature) senses of the child.
The curriculum of this preschool in Mont Kiara also includes activities like spooning, pouring and transferring which develops the practical skills like concentration, coordination of movement, balance, and above all fosters a sense of independence.
The language materials are designed in a way to help the child get a grasp of the writing instrument and be able to form the letters easily. In the same way, the phonetic sounds enable the children to understand the words by identifying the sounds. The regular practice of the techniques at the nursery helps the child to read and speak simple words which eventually take the form of sentences.
The learning materials are coupled with nature walks and talks, projects and cultural activities at the preschool. Every programme is focused on preparing the child for the next level.

“Ryan loves The children’s house. He has developed into this fearless, sweet, polite, warm and gentle boy, all thanks to the good education and love from his aunties and friends.”
“When my daughter, at two and a half turned to me to utter her first sentence in English, then she spoke French to her father and to my mother’s helper in Malay, I understood why Dr. Maria Montessori described the child’s mind as magical!”
“We will never forget the day we brought Chloe to your school for a visit. We asked her if she liked the school in all its bright red and white tones and she said yes without hesitation. She refused to leave when it was time to go after being given some time to play with the other children.”
“My involvement with The children’s house began 28 years ago when I was looking for a preschool for my daughter. I searched high and low for the one that fulfilled my checklist – quality education, a clean environment and dedicated, friendly staff. I visited 8 preschools, but none matched my expectations. Finally, I stumbled upon a quaint, red and white preschool along Jalan Ampang called The children’s house, which was also recommended by a friend. It was one of the best accidental finds of my life.”
We would like to commend Aunties Zandra and Sabrina in particular for consistently delivering high quality sessions that engage the children – the effort in lesson preparation, setting up special interesting filters, making finger puppets etc., are noticed and appreciated. We appreciate all the hard work being put in to make the best of the situation. Please keep it up and we wish all of you best of luck as we navigate the new challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
