The children’s house (TCH) gives parents in Bukit Jalil City the best Montessori offering. TCH is proud to be the premier Montessori preschool in the heart of Bukit Jalil, catering to the needs of working parents through its full-day programme. Situated in Bukit Jalil Signature Shoplot, the centre is a double-storey corner lot and the surrounding is serene and away from the crowd. Its strategic location allows working parents in the vicinity of Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam, Bandar Kinrara and Puchong to send their little ones to a long-established and trusted preschool.
TCH Bukit Jalil City provides an ideal learning environment for children to experience balanced development. The curriculum is specifically designed and carried out in a way where children do not learn things separately. For instance, when there are cooking and baking-related activities, children practise their motor skills by squeezing icing out of a piping bag and scooping baking ingredients. They learn so much more than food and nutrition as the process allows them to expand their understanding of taste, vocabulary and numbers. An indoor interactive play area will also be created with your child’s physical, mental, cognitive and social growth in mind.
The Montessori method gives children the freedom within limits to choose the materials and work they want to work on. This method allows children to develop a deep love for all the purposeful work, hence, growing to become lifelong learners. The learning environment at our preschool in Bukit Jalil is child-centered; Montessori teachers are facilitators in the learning environment. The low teacher-child ratio provides ample attention to children and teachers get to observe and guide the child when necessary. This is one of the crucial elements that ensure children reach their full potential.

A prepared environment that includes child-sized furniture is created to provide an ideal structure and order for children to absorb and structure their internal world based on external influences. The children’s surrounding is fully equipped with purposeful activities and didactic materials of the 5 core areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Culture. For example, in Practical Life, materials are prepared for children to carry out daily routines like dressing, washing, gardening and caring for pets and the environment. They also learn about grace and courtesy especially in manners and social interactions at this preschool in Bukit Jalil.
At this crucial sensitive period, children’s minds are highly absorbent and they need space and time to explore their senses on their own. The Montessori method recognised this and has been nurturing children in ways that allow them to learn from their surroundings and to educate themselves. In this method, teachers are just facilitators who monitor the children’s growth, encouraging them to participate in activities that will eventually lead them to discover things on their own.
In TCH, parents also contribute to the learning progress of their children. Parents and teachers collaborate and share details of the children’s learning journey in order to craft an optimal Montessori learning module for them. Parents are also encouraged to participate in events because parent-child engagement fosters an enriching environment that promotes children’s development at this preschool in Bukit Jalil.

“Ryan loves The children’s house. He has developed into this fearless, sweet, polite, warm and gentle boy, all thanks to the good education and love from his aunties and friends.”
“When my daughter, at two and a half turned to me to utter her first sentence in English, then she spoke French to her father and to my mother’s helper in Malay, I understood why Dr. Maria Montessori described the child’s mind as magical!”
“We will never forget the day we brought Chloe to your school for a visit. We asked her if she liked the school in all its bright red and white tones and she said yes without hesitation. She refused to leave when it was time to go after being given some time to play with the other children.”
“My involvement with The children’s house began 28 years ago when I was looking for a preschool for my daughter. I searched high and low for the one that fulfilled my checklist – quality education, a clean environment and dedicated, friendly staff. I visited 8 preschools, but none matched my expectations. Finally, I stumbled upon a quaint, red and white preschool along Jalan Ampang called The children’s house, which was also recommended by a friend. It was one of the best accidental finds of my life.”
We would like to commend Aunties Zandra and Sabrina in particular for consistently delivering high quality sessions that engage the children – the effort in lesson preparation, setting up special interesting filters, making finger puppets etc., are noticed and appreciated. We appreciate all the hard work being put in to make the best of the situation. Please keep it up and we wish all of you best of luck as we navigate the new challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
