Opened in November 2013, Oasis Square Ara Damansara is our first school within a complex situated in a new bustling township. It is also the first amongst our schools to introduce an award-winning infant care programme for infants as young as three months of age. All the facilities including an indoor playground are thoughtfully planned within this 14,000 square feet space. The rooms in the kindergarten are spacious, well-lit and neatly arranged with engaging learning materials. The indoor playground ensures that the children can enjoy a weather-proof playtime at any time of the year.
The children’s house preschool not only provides quality learning for your child but also infant care in Ara Damansara. The operational hours of the preschool provides a lot of flexibility to parents who need to tweak their routine. The full-day programme is also a great benefit for working parents.
The programmes available at The children’s house Ara Damansara include Montessori Playgroup for infants, pre-toddlers, and toddlers (2 months to 2.5 years old) and Montessori Junior for nursery and preparatory (2.6 to 6 years old). The children’s house follows a creative approach to learning where children are encouraged to learn through play and provides infant care in Ara Damansara.
The holistic curriculum focuses on the development of an infant’s physical, perceptual, cognitive, language, sensory-motor, social-emotional skills.
Toddlers are active, inquisitive and curious in nature. And, to capture their innate abilities, we communicate and interact through storytelling, rhyming, singing, and listening games at the preschool. Their desire to imitate results in the absorption of new sounds and words which soon expands to form sentences.
Trust is built as toddlers participate in routine activities along with their friends, like putting away their little toys and having meals together in the preschool. Practical skills activities like spooning transferring and pouring help to develop gross motor skills and improves concentration.
The nursery environment at the preschool is warm, friendly and secure and the curriculum for infant care in Ara Damansara focuses on refining the physical movement, cognitive abilities, language skills, mathematical skills, taking care of self, taking care of the environment and practising politeness and courtesy.
The activities at the preparatory level are structured in a way that helps to develop the cognitive skills of the child and prepares them for the formal school. We lay emphasis on grace and courtesy where children learn to respect each other, practice manners, and resolve conflicts. Children are encouraged to become adept at reading and writing, develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
With more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education and success stories of children all across Malaysia, The children’s house has gained trust and recognition of both Malaysian and expatriate parents. From humble beginnings in a quiet and leafy part of Damansara heights to preschools at twelve locations in the Klang Valley, The children’s house continues to adhere to the Montessori method of education developed by Dr Maria Montessori.
Even after 100 years of its creation, the Montessori curriculum is still relevant and well-acclaimed, making it one of the most popular approaches to early childhood education all across the world. It offers a nurturing, non-competitive and harmonious environment to promote the physical, emotional, social and cognitive abilities of the child and above all, inculcate a lifelong love of learning.

“Ryan loves The children’s house. He has developed into this fearless, sweet, polite, warm and gentle boy, all thanks to the good education and love from his aunties and friends.”
“When my daughter, at two and a half turned to me to utter her first sentence in English, then she spoke French to her father and to my mother’s helper in Malay, I understood why Dr. Maria Montessori described the child’s mind as magical!”
“We will never forget the day we brought Chloe to your school for a visit. We asked her if she liked the school in all its bright red and white tones and she said yes without hesitation. She refused to leave when it was time to go after being given some time to play with the other children.”
“My involvement with The children’s house began 28 years ago when I was looking for a preschool for my daughter. I searched high and low for the one that fulfilled my checklist – quality education, a clean environment and dedicated, friendly staff. I visited 8 preschools, but none matched my expectations. Finally, I stumbled upon a quaint, red and white preschool along Jalan Ampang called The children’s house, which was also recommended by a friend. It was one of the best accidental finds of my life.”
We would like to commend Aunties Zandra and Sabrina in particular for consistently delivering high quality sessions that engage the children – the effort in lesson preparation, setting up special interesting filters, making finger puppets etc., are noticed and appreciated. We appreciate all the hard work being put in to make the best of the situation. Please keep it up and we wish all of you best of luck as we navigate the new challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
