This preschool in Ampang Hilir is where children go to learn while having fun

Our school was first established at Jalan Damai in 1990. Then it moved to its new premises on Jalan Ampang Hilir in 1995. Built on a one-acre piece of land, this colonial heritage building is one of the larger The children’s house schools with a capacity of more than 250 children. Throughout its 26 years, the school has touched the lives of children from more than 50 countries.

Standing elegantly among the international community of Kuala Lumpur, the colonial building and its beautiful lawns are a delight. The environment in the preschool is designed to be spacious and well-lit, with a neat arrangement of Montessori learning materials, charts and paintings in classrooms.

The creative playground sets in the preschool lawn are designed to give the children the opportunity for great adventure in outdoor play. The children at the kindergarten simply love their fun times in and out of the school, with role playing and creative activities that make their learning experience fruitful. In fact, ‘graduates’ come back for visits and send their best wishes during festive times and anniversaries, testament to the preschool’s long-lasting impact.

What Parents Say

  • “Ryan loves The children’s house. He has developed into this fearless, sweet, polite, warm and gentle boy, all thanks to the good education and love from his aunties and friends.”

    Mr and Mrs Dalton

  • “When my daughter, at two and a half turned to me to utter her first sentence in English, then she spoke French to her father and to my mother’s helper in Malay, I understood why Dr. Maria Montessori described the child’s mind as magical!”

    Mr and Mrs Civel
    Parents of Fleur Civel
  • “We will never forget the day we brought Chloe to your school for a visit. We asked her if she liked the school in all its bright red and white tones and she said yes without hesitation. She refused to leave when it was time to go after being given some time to play with the other children.”

    Mr and Mrs Chan
    Parents of Chloe Chan
  • “My involvement with The children’s house began 28 years ago when I was looking for a preschool for my daughter. I searched high and low for the one that fulfilled my checklist – quality education, a clean environment and dedicated, friendly staff. I visited 8 preschools, but none matched my expectations. Finally, I stumbled upon a quaint, red and white preschool along Jalan Ampang called The children’s house, which was also recommended by a friend. It was one of the best accidental finds of my life.”

    Mr and Mrs Aris
Parents of Reena, Alang and Riya
  • We would like to commend Aunties Zandra and Sabrina in particular for consistently delivering high quality sessions that engage the children – the effort in lesson preparation, setting up special interesting filters, making finger puppets etc., are noticed and appreciated. We appreciate all the hard work being put in to make the best of the situation. Please keep it up and we wish all of you best of luck as we navigate the new challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
