TCH 16 Sierra provides a host of learning activities in and out of the classroom. Children experience a balanced approach to education that encourages their cognitive, emotional, physical and social development. Our curriculum is specifically designed and taught to help children learn through practical activities. For instance, Practical Life activities that include baking and gardening, also teaches a child physical coordination in holding tools that scoop and transfer material. This helps them develop confidence in undertaking everyday tasks while learning different subject matters.
The children’s house believes in the significance of early years education in young children. The ‘absorbent mind’ is one of the fundamental pillars in the Montessori method, as researched and presented by Dr. Maria Montessori. It is the belief that a child possesses a sponge-like natural learning capability. Bolstered by their innate curiosity, young children are able to grasp knowledge much quicker at an earlier stage, which is why each centre is designed to benefit young children through the Montessori method, moulding a child with a lifelong desire to learn.
The 16 Sierra centre has a cosy environment that ensures your child feels comfortable enough to engage with their peers and our loving ‘aunties’. Our preschool has also adopted the ‘dual immersion’ programme which fosters a child’s innate ability to learn and master multiple languages at an early age. Help your child begin their lifelong journey of learning with our unique programme.

“Ryan loves The children’s house. He has developed into this fearless, sweet, polite, warm and gentle boy, all thanks to the good education and love from his aunties and friends.”
“When my daughter, at two and a half turned to me to utter her first sentence in English, then she spoke French to her father and to my mother’s helper in Malay, I understood why Dr. Maria Montessori described the child’s mind as magical!”
“We will never forget the day we brought Chloe to your school for a visit. We asked her if she liked the school in all its bright red and white tones and she said yes without hesitation. She refused to leave when it was time to go after being given some time to play with the other children.”
“My involvement with The children’s house began 28 years ago when I was looking for a preschool for my daughter. I searched high and low for the one that fulfilled my checklist – quality education, a clean environment and dedicated, friendly staff. I visited 8 preschools, but none matched my expectations. Finally, I stumbled upon a quaint, red and white preschool along Jalan Ampang called The children’s house, which was also recommended by a friend. It was one of the best accidental finds of my life.”
We would like to commend Aunties Zandra and Sabrina in particular for consistently delivering high quality sessions that engage the children – the effort in lesson preparation, setting up special interesting filters, making finger puppets etc., are noticed and appreciated. We appreciate all the hard work being put in to make the best of the situation. Please keep it up and we wish all of you best of luck as we navigate the new challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
